About the Show

George and Doris are the most unlikely couple to have an affair - both of them in love with their respective spouses. And is it a love affair, or a bad habit? Bernard Slade's contemporary comedy gives us an insight into the lives of two very ordinary, normal people and how they cope with their divided loyalties. There is fun and pathos, confusion and mayhem, subterfuge and complete honesty as their story unfolds - just like we all experience. Their story takes us over twenty-five years and hilariously mirrors the manners, morals and attitudes of the times.
